Young politicians should stop sowing seeds of antagonism – Yaw Adomako Baafi

A leading member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Yaw Adomako Baafi has admonished young politicians to let go of their antagonism and learn from old politicians.

According to him, regardless of their political affiliation, they should ensure that they build bridges rather than create unnecessary tension between themselves.

He was speaking on Accra-based OKAY FM when he made this known.

Yaw Adomako Baafi said “when we are speaking as politicians, let’s take into consideration what the elders have done and forget the antagonism and the insults. There is a need for us to apply commonsense.

When Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo won the election and was thanking people, weren’t you shocked that he mentioned Kwasi Tsikata? So am I the fool who will stick to insults so that I wake up each morning insulting John Mahama?

Look at Nana Yaw Osafo Mafo and how he helped Ibrahim Mahama with Dzata Cement and you don’t want me to help Fred Agbonyo or Sammy Gyamfi? We should be wise. Our brother Gabby Otchere Darko was the one who went to John Mahama’s house when we had issues with E-Levy. If I go to John Mahama’s house is it not okay?”

He said his prayer was that politics in the country will grow to the stage where people from different political parties can dine and wine without looking over their shoulders.
