Otto Addo expects Black Stars to remain calm when they take to the pitch to face Uruguay in their final group game at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, claiming he sees the tie as a normal game.
Black Stars are currently second in Group H and will take on the South American side on Friday.
A win or draw will see Ghana through to the last 16 of the competition.
“Yeah just like every other match, surely you want to win. The good thing is that at the end if it is a draw is also good for us but we want to win this game and I’m not thinking too much about revenge,” the 47-year-old told ghanafa.org.
“For me it’s a normal game and surely I was really really sad in 2010 when I watched the scene and it was a big chance for Ghana to proceed to the next stage but it’s 12 years ago and now it’s a different measure, different approach so for me I don’t see it as a revenge and I’m not a person who is seeking for revenge.
“I’m strong believer that if you don’t seek for those revengers and all those things, sometimes you even get more blessings from God and we will try our best to win this match and I think we are confident enough to know we can beat them.”
Ghana became the third African country after Senegal and Morocco to secure a win in the second round of matches in the tournament following their 3-2 victory over South Korea.
The four-time African champions started their World Cup campaign on a wrong note after losing 3-2 to Portugal who have progressed to the round of 16 stage.
