UE: DCEs, Constituency Executives may replace striking NPP communicators

A few days after not being on air or contributing to the development of the party, a deep-throat source within the executive body of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper East Region has revealed that the strike communicators may soon be replaced.

According to the source, the communicators may have to come to terms with the current appointment of Peter Ayinbisa as Regional Communications Director or risk being replaced forever.

A deep-throat source who cannot be named said “the actions of the communicators were a bit unfortunate and some of them didn’t do much for the growth of the party. We will soon meet with them to understand the main reason for such an action but let me add that they should not think that their behaviour can, either way, affect the party. There are equally good communicators that can do the work better than them.”

The source stressed that “the executive did their work by appointing someone they thought will help improve the communication structure of the party. If you think you desire the appointment, you should have equally go and contest for a position not waiting for an appointment, who does that. But we will meet with them.”

It is worth noting that the communicators of the New Patriotic Party in the Upper East Region went on a strike following an appointment of a regional communications director whom they said has never been a member of the communication team.

The communicators also added the actions of the executive body in appointing the person with prior consultation of members was an act of insult to them.

Meanwhile, the communicators and sympathisers of the party continue to express their disappointment with the actions of the executives.

Meanwhile, the newly appointed Regional Communications Director of the NPP in the Upper East Region, Peter Ayinbisa is asking communicators to put their differences with him and his appointment aside so the work can continue.
