A 34-year-old Southwest passenger has been arrested after she made an attempt to open a plane door mid-flight.
According to a court document, the passenger identified as Elom Agbegninou claimed that she tried opening the plane door because Jesus told her to do so.
Click2Houston reports that the passenger Elom Agbegninou, was on the Ohio-bound flight from Texas on Saturday afternoon when she allegedly became frustrated that flight attendants prevented her from reaching the emergency exit.
A fellow passenger who tried helping was reported to have been bitten by Elom Agbegninou in the thigh refusing to let go until the victim forced their fingers into her jaw.
Elom while hitting her head on the plane floor said, “Jesus told her to fly to Ohio and Jesus told her to open the door,” the documents released by the US District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas on Monday show.
According to the court document, Elom Agbegninou is expected to face charges of assault within maritime and territorial jurisdiction and interference with flight crew members and attendants.
