‘Dead and resurrected’ Bosome Freho DCE accused of threatening Assembly Members

The embattled District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bosome Freho in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Yaw Danso has been accused of threatening the lives of Assembly Members in the area.

Assembly Members in the area have vowed to pass a vote of no confidence in him in the coming days but Hon. Yaw Danso is said to call the bluff of the people’s representatives including opinion leaders there.

The elected Assembly Member for Tebeso, Amoako Mensah disclosed on Kumasi-based Fox FM in an interview monitored by ‘We know what Yaw Danso is capable of doing. The continuous disrespect towards Assembly Members and his abysmal performance are endless. This time, he has been visiting some of the Assembly Members clandestinely with threats and all kinds of promises to cow them from speaking against his ills.’

‘He is also trying to coerce some of us and had promised each Assembly Member 100 bags of cement to have his way through but trust me, it will not work on our side’, he alleged.

According to Hon. Amoako Mensah who is leading the crusade, all the twenty-two (22) Assembly Members have resolved to oust the DCE through legal means should the President refuse to fire the latter.

‘We thank God, the law has given us the power to also decide the fate of our DCE so if the President refuses to listen to us, we are going to decide it ourselves,’ he told host, Sir John, during a telephone conversation.

Meanwhile, the Presiding Member (PM) of the Assembly, Hon. Martin Kwaku Frimpong has confirmed members have petitioned meant for President Akufo-Addo to revoke the appointment of Hon. Yaw Danso.
