Senior lecturer of at the Department of History and Political Studies at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Dr Kwasi Amakye Boateng has described the Akufo-Addo led administration as an insensitive government.
He says they are clueless about the plights of Ghanaians.
Dr. Amakye Boateng says the President has never experienced hardship since infancy and cannot empathise with the citizens on the hardship they are going through, making him insensitive.
Speaking on Akoma FM’s current affairs and political show GhanAkoma Monday, November 21, 2022, the Political Scientist told host of the show Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin that Ghanaians have brought to themselves the current hardship for voting Akuffo-Addo to power.
“The President doesn’t care because he has never seen hardship since infancy so he cannot empathize with the general suffering of Ghanaians. If he cares he would have risen to the calls of his own members of Parliament to remove Ofori-Atta,” he opined.
He was speaking on the ad-hoc committee’s sitting on Ofori-Atta’s motion of censure seeking to oust him as Finance Minister for mismanaging the public purse.
Dr Amakye Boateng added that even though President Akufo-Addo capitalised on the economic hardship to win power in 2016, he is doing worse than his predecessors.
